INFORMATION YOU SHOULD KNOW

01 Children Are Welcome

Children under 3 years of age are accommodated at no charge. Children from 3 to 12 years of age may share with adults at 50 % of the adult rate. Maximum of 2 children per room. Children from 12 years and older, will be charged the full adult rate whether sharing with parents or staying in a separate unit. Game drives and nature walks can be tailor made for children.

02 Dietary Requirements

As it is a set menu daily and not a la carte, please inform the reservations office in advance should any special dietary needs be required. If you have any children travelling with you kindly provide us with their ages to provide the apropriate portions.

03 Medical Conditions

Prior to arrival, guests should notify the reservations office of any pre-existing medical conditions. This includes any allergies etc. The reservations office should be informed in advance of any physical disabilities. This is essential as elephant access may not be possible and appropriate accommodation and vehicle seating facilities are limited.

04 Indemnity

On arrival guests are requested to sign our standard indemnity form.

05 Rates

All rates are quoted gross, in Rands and are inclusive of VAT, full board and accommodation Adult rates are quoted per person per day, sharing in twin or king-size accommodation.

  • A single supplement of 50% applies
  • 0 – 2 Year old children to share with parents at no extra charge
  • 3 – 12 Year old children either sharing a room with their parents or in a separate unit will be charged 50% of the normal rate
06 Payments, Postponements and Cancellation Policy

To secure your booking, payment should be made on receipt of invoice

  • 25% of fee if cancellation / postponement less than 30 days prior to arrival
  • 50% of fee if cancellation / postponement less than 15 days prior to arrival
  • 100% of fee if cancellation / postponement less than 7 days prior to arrival
  • Under no circumstances can the lodge refund or transfer unused bed-nights caused by cancellation due to flight or airport delays, sickness and any other unforeseen circumstances
07 Transfers

Transfers are available on request. Please request rates with the lodge.

08 Drivers and Guides

Accommodation will be provided at no charge for a guide or driver with a group of ten or more guests, either in camp or in staff quarters at the lodge’s discretion and subject to availability. Guests wishing to ensure their guide accompanies them in camp should book a single tent accordingly. The booking will be chargeable at normal rates.

09 Accessibility

For guests not wanting to self drive on a gravel road, we highly recommend that they make use of the transfer option, as there is a 30km stretch of rough gravel road to reach the lodge and we would not advise driving at night.

10 Malaria free

As the Eastern Cape is malaria-free, prophylactics are not necessary.

11 We Deliver the Highest Quality

Road transfers are available to guests at an extra cost. Speak to us about your transfer requirements.
